Hello.

Usually, school makes me too busy to write, but today my grade is on the overnight trip, and I wasn’t allowed to go (don’t ask why), so I have all the time I want to post.

So, we lost our 2nd game. It was the best team that we were playing, though, so that’s partly the reason.
We played well, though. I scored at lest 8 points for our team by acing my serves.

Our next game is a week from today, against Staten Island Academy. I have no idea whether they’re good or not (it would sorta help for them to be bad ). We don’t even know where or when it’s gonna be, because it came up just recently. Oh well, Coach K. will probably post a message on the bulletin board outside the gym.
Our coach is sooo cool. He doesn’t work us too hard so we have fun during practice (and he doesn’t get mad at us when we lose LOL). He is also the lower school gym teacher, but in the middle school he is our coach. He’s really nice too.

I could get an iPod for 100 dollars. It is the original iPod , it’s black and red and already has 1500 popular songs downloaded onto it. It’s fairly new and also comes with headphones and a case. I’m probably gonna get it (except I’m gonna try to make a deal for 90 dollars instead so I have at least 20 bucks left).
Should I get it or not? If you have anything to say about this please comment.

Also, I have a new obsession thingy. It’s
CONVERSE!!

I wore a pair to gym class once (that I borrowed from a friend when I forgot my sneakers at home), and they were so dang cool! In Converses, I can sprint like a comet and jump very high and I don’t slip or skid.
So, what I really want now is Converses. Three pairs (the low tops, high tops, and extra high tops). I already went to the website Converse and customized these three pairs, they are so cool – looking! The total price for 3 customized pairs is around 150 bucks, but these will last me for another 3 or 4 years, since my foot has stopped growing already. Plus, the shipping and handling costs are free with purchases of 75 dollars or more, so that saves me another 15 bucks or so.
I’m gonna ask my dad about these Converses for my birthday (which is 7 months away, but I’ll live ).

I am happy cuz I got a raise in my allowance. It’s nothing, really, but still. Now I get 1.50 $ a week if I clean my room always, and 50 more cents if I behave. That gives me a possible 8 bucks a month. That’s pretty good, considering that several months ago I was getting only 2 dollars a month . Especially now, since I’m gonna spend most of my money on that iPod. And I might get it raised to a whole 3 dollars a week by New Year if I do good.

Anyways, I think that’s it for now.

Volleyball once more…

Today we had practice again… we have it every 2 days, so basically on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This is not including games. Before the game, we have practice every day. Yah. It’s not that I mind, I actually really like practice. I mean, obviously games are more fun and interesting, but practice is what makes the game, so I can’t not like it. Ok.
There is one thing about practice. As part of our stretches, we have to do laps around the gym. 5 at least, sometimes 8 if we come in late. I don’t mind the laps either, they help so your legs don’t get sore during practice. Anyways, to the point. We have mostly 7th graders on our team, and the 8th graders are the ones who stayed from last year. Well, I find them very disagreeable. First of all, while Mr K. (our coach) is setting up the net and turns around for one second, these 8th grade girls cut through half of the gym EVERY TIME! Which means, they basically do half the laps that we do. And now, even some girls in my grade have picked this up. There are only a few people doing the full laps (including me, I’d never cheat on anything). This makes me upset.
Anyways…
We have a game Tuesday, not Wednesday, it got changed I think. And, it’s our first “away” game. We’re going to Poly Prep. It’s gonna rock! We’re gonna smoke them like a barbeque! (Credit for this phrase goes to Hannah )

First of all,
OMFG DAVID WAT IS UR PROBLEM U BLOCKED ME!!!!!??????

Second of all, here's my story:

On Wednesday the 20th, our middle school girls’ volleyball team had our first game. We played Packer. They were all so dang tall! Fine, maybe they were just a little bit taller than us…but still, they seemed huge!

Anyways, they have a pretty large team. Just like us – we have, I think, like, some 17 people. We have a good team. Before, many people couldn’t serve properly, but we did great at the game. There were a lot of great serves.

Our team likes food (who in the world doesn’t?? ). Before games or practices, people usually buy snack foods at the local deli. Today, our first game was my excuse to get money from my parents. I got 3 bucks – and that’s actually pretty good! I bought a huge bag of real good popcorn, chocolate chip cookies, and Reese’s Cups. My friend Dina Rose got me a Snapple – Raspberry (that makes it 10! ). People get different foods – some get junk food (like me ), some get nutritious food like dried mangoes, which are very good. Everyone shares their food with their fellow team members, so we get a bit of each. It feels so nice to share with people. I can make some good friends that way We are in great luck, though, that there is a janitor that comes in after school and cleans our locker room – after food, the whole floor is covered in crumbs

Yah.

So after we ate, we went into the gym and set up the net. Then we stretched and ran our laps and practiced our serving. Then Packer arrived and we freaked. Even though for Packer this was an “away” game, just as many fans came to our school to cheer them on as there were for us. Yah. Anyways…

There are 3 games. 2 out of 3 wins, and even if the first 2 are won by the same team, the last one is still played.

So, we played our first 2 games and lost them…SADFACE… By this much!! *holds up pinched fingers* We came soooo close to winning!!

But, we did great. We even won our last game. By a lot.

And (haha) Dina Rose and her younger brother got to be the people who officially keep track of the points and subs and other stuff like that… LUCKY!! Good job Dina.

Don’t worry, we still have 12 more games until November. Next game is the Wednesday of next week… We’re playing Poly Prep, away. (Dunno about the food on that one I mean, it would be kinda rude to litter THEIR locker room floor with pretzel crumbs!
